FOOTBALL STADIUM IN KATOWICE

The Katowice Football Stadium was designed to comply with UEFA Stadium Infrastructure Regulation, Category 3. The architects brief was to create a simple and cost effective stadium which allows to divide the whole construction stage into four phases. The design approach makes use of simple and common materials, such as metal and concrete, that refer to the area’s industrial heritage. The stadium elevations are created from silver aluminum louvers. The white membrane-covered roof canopy covers every seat in the stadium.
